Xiaomi announced a “TV, painting and AI assistant 3-in-1” smart TV – Mi Mural TV 65”, during its TV Spring Launch Event on April 23 in China. Retailing at RMB 6999, the ultra-slim Mi Mural TV 65” can be mounted directly onto the wall without a gap, just like a picture frame that hangs flat against the wall. Mi Mural TV 65” has a number of classic art pieces preloaded, transforming your living room into an art gallery when the TV is on standby mode.
Though only 13.9mm thick, Mi Mural TV 65” offers excellent image quality by adopting a 65” Samsung 4K panel. Enjoy uncompromised audio quality with a dedicated SoundBar and subwoofer pair that supports Dolby and DTS-HD. Powered by a quad-core 64-bit flagship processor, 2GB+32GB RAM and storage, along with Xiaomi’s own PatchWall OS interface, Mi Mural TV 65” ensures a smooth and stable user experience.
Mi Mural TV 65” is the first Mi TV that uses far-field microphone technology, so users can activate voice control features even at a distance. Users can search for movies, check weather, control other smart home products without using a mic-enabled remote control—users can even activate the embedded XiaoAi AI Assistant when the TV is turned off. The global shipments of Xiaomi smart TVs in 2018 was 8.4 million units, representing a 225.5% year-on-year growth. In India, Xiaomi launched smart TVs in February 2018 and was ranked first in terms of online TV shipments in 2018. The MAU of our smart TVs and Mi Box achieved 55.3% year-on-year growth, reaching 18.6 million in December 2018.
Xiaomi also entered the white goods market, launching the Mi Air Conditioner and the Mi Washing Machine in July and December 2018, respectively.
Xiaomi has started incubating its ecosystem companies with smartphones at its core since 2013. Within five years, it has become the world’s largest consumer IoT platform, connecting more than 150.9 million smart devices (excluding mobile phones and laptops) as of December 30.
By the end of 2018, there were about 2.3 million users who own more than five Xiaomi IoT devices (excluding smartphones and laptops), representing a 16.2% quarter-on-quarter growth and a 109.5% year-on-year growth.
