In our last post with Li Ningning, senior director of ID, Mi Ecosystem, we learned about her thoughts on the Mi Ecosystem design.
At Xiaomi, we take craftsmanship very seriously, knowing that careful attention to detail makes a big difference.
When different smartphones are equipped with Snapdragon 835, for example, what else can make us stand out? Craftsmanship.
For example, when creating Mi 6 we used vacuum coating technologies where even a single speck of dust or any other impurity would ruin the entire effect. Different from a normally applied method of “pasting” on some other noted smartphone brands, the vacuum coating technology can give our phones more realistic colors, that result in higher cost and lower yield rate. Our team had to be extremely vigilant in the development of each and every unit, crafting and recrafting until perfect, and we take this same approach for every single one of our units.
We aren’t afraid to take time perfecting each product, knowing that masterpieces require patience and, often, multiple attempts. We understand that excellent products come from the hands of passionate and detail-oriented engineers.
We, alongside our users, are enthusiasts who enjoy experiencing the latest and greatest technologies and innovations. This is why we have no ceiling for investment when it comes to our exploration for craftsmanship. Even if the new product is just 1% better than the previous model, we are willing to invest 100%.
It’s our goal that, because of our high standards, our fans are the ultimate beneficiaries of our craftsmanship.
